Break # One

So very thankful for no treatment this week! Recovery is much slower than I’d like but each day I feel a little better.

You truly appreciate the little mundane things in life when you haven’t been able to do them. Keeping my hopes for these upcoming few days within reach. Going to church, for an easy hike with our family and friends, visiting my mom, folding our laundry, making some meals and grocery shopping are all simple things I’m very much looking forward too.

Can’t wait to join everyone again!πŸ˜ͺ

This past week was not completely uneventful even though I felt a bit better than my previous two weeks. Sleep was the word of the week!

Minimal pain! βœ… No nausea! βœ… ! Much less muscle exhaustion! βœ… Huge praises!❀ But overall exhaustion was at a high. Lots of naps and early bedtimes were required.😴

This week brought swelling and fluid retention. Trying a med to help with that, praying it will work well. Having many lymph nodes removed with my 2011 mastectomy puts my left arm at a much greater risk for lymphadema. Fluid does not drain well from that arm so along with overall swelling, that arm is affected more than other areas. Having gained nearly 10lbs in less than a month while eating healthy, knowing it wasn’t food related, was a bit discouraging.

I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8 ESV

This week also brought hairloss.😭 Crazy how something that is so minor in the big pictute of things, something that can grow back, can still hurt so much. Tears flowed freely on Tuesday.

Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!
Psalm 126:5 ESV

My tear filled, puffy self! Here we go!πŸ™ƒπŸ˜ͺ
My unimpressive face! πŸ™ƒπŸ˜ͺ

The hunt for pretty scarves and headcoverings is on!

This week’s warm spring weather was an absolute blessing!

Thank you Lord for fresh air, children that have spent several hours a day outside and homeschool group at the playground with precious friends!

This muddy baby LOVES being outside!😍

Thank you Lord for children that have kept up with school, friends and family that have loved on them and more delicious meals, we are SO blessed!

Love these sweet people!

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
Job 33:4 ESV

Also a huge praise for my portacath working well when it was rechecked on Wednesday! Please pray it stays in place for my treatments and tests!

The Lord is good, the Lord is faithful, throught it all!

Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky.
Psalm 85:11 ESV
