I Can’t……. but God CAN!

These last three weeks have been both beautiful and hard. We celebrated the beautiful wedding of our oldest son and his beautiful bride, we’re super excited for them as they begin their new life together in their own home (purchased the same week as the wedding!ðŸ˜ē) We ended our 4-H year with a fun beach…… Continue reading I Can’t……. but God CAN!

Hope…..Through it All

Camping back to back weekends was interesting (putting it a little lightly) and not something I’ll ever tackle again. ðŸĪŠ Fun was had and memories made even in the midst of continued exhaustion and hurricane Elsa! 😎 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his…… Continue reading Hope…..Through it All

Cold & Tired!

I completed week two of my new med, Ibrance, yesterday. The side effects, many very similar to chemo side effects have accumulated a bit. I’m definitely more tired, always cold, a bit of tummy upset and some pins and needles in my hands and feet. Here is a call for the endurance of the saints,…… Continue reading Cold & Tired!

A Week of Blessings!

Recovery continued this week…..very slowly but each day was an improvement until I started my new med. I’ve had three doses so far and it brought some increased fatigue and aches. Very thankful for no other side effects yet! Hoping this is all I’ll have. My bloodwork and symptoms will be closely watched over the…… Continue reading A Week of Blessings!

June CT Results!

Overall good news, chemo did what was expected. I had hoped for more but will definitely take this result! It will be…… Continue reading June CT Results!

Radiation Week

This past week was spent in Halifax for radiation. I headed to the city on Sunday evening all by myself. It’s been awhile since I’ve driven any distance, since the pandemic hit really. It was tiring, thankful for cruise control as my sore joints didn’t enjoy the drive. This was my very first time away…… Continue reading Radiation Week

Chemo Recovery

These last two weeks since my last chemo treatment have gone by very slowly. Recovery is VERY frustratingly slow. God is continuing to teach me patience and that all things happen in His time, not mine. I can’t remember where I read, to quote properly, to expect a month of recovery for each chemo cycle.…… Continue reading Chemo Recovery

Eight Down….One To Go!

Yesterday was dose number eight! One more dose to go. Praying these treatments have done what they were supposed too. Slowing, stopping, killing cancer cells. The dose reduction for this cycle brought much needed relief. Not real physical relief from most symptoms but mental relief and no worsening of physical symptoms, which was wonderful! I…… Continue reading Eight Down….One To Go!
