Yesterday ended my first of two breaks with treatment #4. Emotions hit unexpectedly throughout this whole journey, can’t explain how it felt yesterday morning, to be going to do something when every ounce of your being doesn’t want too.πͺ
Huge praise that my bloodwork was good and my port worked perfectly! Thank you Lord!!! But treatment hit pretty quickly this time, my body automatically went into ” here we go again ” mode. I was tired before I even got home.π
Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:12 ESV
This past week’s break was lovely and very much needed, not only physically but mentally as well even though it was not all I’d hoped for. Recovery from my physical symptoms was very slow, a tiny improvement each day but not really any days totally without symptoms. Continued minor swelling, minor muscle pain and weakness, being tired were still part of each day.
So very thankful for the breath of normal besides the physical symptoms. It refreshes the soul and mind, which I very much needed! Keeping up with laundry, making meals, enjoying walks, being outside, going to church, visiting my mom, helping with a wedding shower, helping to plan a baby shower, supper out one night, grocery shopping and an early Easter dinner with our family were all a huge blessing. β€
We also celebrated a birthday this week!β€

This guy is my rock, my best friend and love of my life! We compliment each other perfectly! His strengths are my weaknesses and visa versa. He steps in when I need him but happily let’s my “8” strengths shine through in security. The trials of life we’ve faced have only drawn us closer!π
If you have never read ” The Road Back To You ; An Enneagram Journey To Self-Discovery” by Ian Morgan Cron & Suzanne Stabile you need too!π I’m a 5 wing 6 if anyone is wondering!π

Our children continue to be blessed and have their love tanks refilled each week. Helping out with more than their normal chores all while continuing to keep up with school is draining for them too. Time with family and friends each week refuels them.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV

We were also blessed with surprise meals, Easter treats, basket and egg hunt this week! Thank you for these precious gifts!π

Thank you again to those feeding our family so many evenings a week! Words will never be enough to tell you what a huge burden you lift from our days! This has been how we have continued to homeschool through all of this! My brain and body can only do so much in a day and not having to plan and make supper allows me to help my students that still need teaching and help! We successfully completed week 24 of 30 this week! We are all very excited to have only 6 weeks left in our main curriculum and a couple of subjects that will be completed in 4 weeks!π
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
John 13:34 ESV
We are feeling SO loved!π₯°
Easter is an extra special time for me, it was when I gave my life to Jesus, 23 years ago! I can never thank Him enough for His forgiveness, love and hope! Today we remember He suffered and died for US! All of us! Sunday we celebrate that He lives!

He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:5 ESV

Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Maria! It helps to know exactly what to ask of our Heavenly Father. Your open heart, your honesty and your beautiful spirit in the midst of pain and suffering is a godly example to all who read your blogs.
In all my many years of ministry, travel, and meeting and knowing a vast number of families I have never met a more beautiful, loving, and godly family than the one God has created by bringing you and Jeff together. You both have excelled!!
I will continue to pray for you every day asking God for a miracle and believing for His will to be done in your lives.
Oh, and by the wayβ¦. I love the pictures that you share with us!! Hugs β€οΈ

Oh Maria. I know those feelings, at least in part. You are doing such an excellent job…honoring God in the midst of hard times. Life is so strange sometimes, such a mix of joy and sorrow, I can see that in your words. Your kids are learning so much as they walk through this with you.
Continued prayers.
