Five Down….Four To Go!

It felt so good to write that title even though symptoms accumulate with each dose and these next few weeks will not be easy, it is still encouraging to have more behind me, chemo wise, than ahead.

Treatment #5!

Yup! That’s hair!😜 Bought a wig for the very first time ever this week. I have very mixed feelings about it! Love the color and cut and having the option of looking “normal” when I go out. Don’t love how it feels or the worry of it moving or falling off! Lol

This week was a mixed bag of symptoms. Some days brought more exhaustion than others and still included aching and swelling. I did have the energy to attend Easter Sunday service! Such a blessing! I was also able keep up with a few basics around the house a bit better this week too!❀

This week again, included so much yummy food and fun for our children!❀

Breakfast for supper was a hit!😍
Yummy blueberry muffins!πŸ˜‹
More Easter fun!πŸ₯°
Chilly but fun visit to Cape Forchu!❀
Escape room challenge….girls against….
…..boys!

Our beautiful oldest daughter celebrated a birthday this week. The precious soul that made a me a momma, survived our inexperienced parenting and our first homeschool graduate is the most amazing, smart, kind, thoughtful, strong, hard working woman, wife, sister, daughter and soon to be momma and RN! So so proud!Love you beyond words, my girl!❀

He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing.

Best big sis ever!πŸ₯°

Wednesday was a full, busy day. I had my portacath accessed, bloodwork, a bone scan and CT. My last CT was in December, comparing the results from this one with my last one will give us a better picture of what’s happening, if any treatment has been affective yet and how fast/slow my cancer is growing. My last bone scan was in 2013. My breast cancer has spread to my bones, so having a better picture of that will be helpful. Praying for peace as we await the results, waiting is so hard and the time seems to pass slowly.

Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
2 Peter 3:14 ESV

Treatment went smoothly and quickly today! In and out in record time! PTL!

Today also included an OT visit to assess for a compression sleeve for my left arm. That arm is struggling more each week to drain properly. Meds are helping with overall swelling but this arm is struggling and could use the extra support.

Praying for miraculous positive changes when we get the scan results!

And Jesus said to him, β€œβ€˜If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
Mark 9:23 ESV

Praying for the pain and swelling to be manageable this week!

This would be my comfort; I would even exult in pain unsparing, for I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
Job 6:10 ESV

Praying that I can find the energy to get into the greenhouse and get some seeds started! Gardening makes my heart happy!😍🌻πŸ₯¬πŸ₯’πŸ«‘πŸ…πŸ‰πŸ₯•πŸ“πŸ§„πŸ₯¦

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

  1. Love the wig and no, it doesn’t fall off lol. I personally hated the wigs – hot and itchy; but wore it in public to make me look (normal). Hugs to you Maria and will keep praying.
