Cold & Tired!

I completed week two of my new med, Ibrance, yesterday. The side effects, many very similar to chemo side effects have accumulated a bit. I’m definitely more tired, always cold, a bit of tummy upset and some pins and needles in my hands and feet.

Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
Revelation 14:12 ESV

Despite feeling like this……

I’ve had lots of precious grandbaby snuggles!😍 I can not get enough of just staring at this perfect, beautiful little girl. May she forever know how much I love her!

We had a wonderful Canada Day camping weekend! Even with the heat, rain, then cold, uneven site and the busiest 14 month old we’ve ever had it was a blessing. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing friends and older kids helping WAY more than ever. Camping is usually a break from chores and helping for our children, not this summer. πŸ˜” I feel bad but they all stepped in and shared the work. Our “adopted niece” wrangled our little girls like a pro, for which we are extremely thankful!πŸ˜‰πŸ₯°

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16 ESV

So thankful for all the meals this guy took care of!❀

The heat wave that had everyone else melting, was just comfortable for me. Once the rain and extreme temperature switch happened, I was SO cold. Even in layers and huddled up to the campfire most of the time, I was so so cold. I’ve never felt cold like I do now, a deep bone aching cold that makes it hard to move or even think. Some thermal layers will definitely be on my shopping list soon.

Baby girl LOVES the water and her floatie!
The traditional glow stick walk team!❀
Making the best of it despite the rain!
Just an adorable girlie and her sleepy Zoe pup! (I don’t think she packed enough stuff!🀣)
NEVER enough baby snuggles for some proud uncles!😍
Hammocks are the best!
Sparkler fun!

Early morning bloodwork happened at 7am Monday. 😴 Not fun after just getting home. My WBC is low normal, which explains my cold and tiredness and even though it’s safe to continue with my third week of treatment, I do need to be careful to rest, watch for fever and avoid germs as much as possible. One of the few good things to come from covid has been many people handwashing more and actually staying home when unwell, for this I am thankful.

The rest of the day was busy, cleaning and drying wet camping gear, getting ready for our next trip. Watering and tending to the greenhouse and keeping this very busy girlie safe!

You are SO sweet, funny and so very busy!

Summer is here and I’m determined to make it fun and as normal as possible despite each day being harder than I want.

Thank you for your prayers! Please continue to pray for strength and energy, for complete healing and for my precious friend on the same point of this journey as me, on the same meds, not only dealing with everything I am but more side effects and the smoke from the BC fires, making breathing difficult.

Looking forward to lots more baby snuggles, a beautiful wedding, in person church services, more time with friends, more camping, some day trips and just enjoying this blessed life I’ve been given.

And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:4 ESV

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
