December CT Results!

Pubnico Buoy Tree

VERY thankful to be starting 2022 with good news!❤

My CT results today were very positive and encouraging! Best we could hope for really! All non-bone spots are smaller and barely visible now! Bone spots are not active, just showing scarring (which will always show) but look improved also (cancer in bones is hard to read from a CT)! Nothing new! God is answering! Treatment is working!

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
2 Corinthians 9:15 NIV

Even with extended breaks and two dose reductions, treatment is doing it’s job! I begin my next round of Ibrance on Monday. Going to continue at 75mg, two weeks on, two weeks off and continuing with Letrozole every day.

I feel like I can continue with this plan both mentally and physically. If it becomes overwhelming again then another extended break, for a month or so, may be needed.

Resigning to my new “normal” is something I am still greatly struggling with. I’ll soon be ordering a few items to hopefully help with eating, dressing, daily life. Just researching everything. Most items are designed for those with severely arthritic hands. That is the best way to describe how my hands have been affected.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
Romans 15:30 NIV

If you are reading this and you, or someone you know well has found aids and/or tricks to make life doable with disabled, stiff, tight, weak, swollen hands, please share with me!

We got back to a regular routine this week. Back to school. We would normally take another couple of weeks off to enjoy more holiday activities and birthday’s but with the strict lock downs and older kids working at a little slower pace, having the routine of school is very helpful. We have been very thankful to be seasoned homeschoolers during these last 2+ covid years.

After Christmas we enjoyed visiting the Barrington Lobster Trap and Pubnico Buoy Tree. Along with a visit to Sherose Island Trail for the first time and checking out lights on homes!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12 NIV

This sweet, artistic, athletic guy celebrated his 14th birthday with ice cream cake and gingerbread houses. The only Skor cake we could find had a pink owl, not his first choice but it was still delicious! 🤣

We are rejoicing in these most perfect New Year’s gifts! Giving thanks!

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17 NIV

Please continue to pray for more healing, helps to make life manageable and that we would continue to be a light through it all!

I am so sorry about your hands. I take aromasin ( exemestane,) and I get very stiff and sore. Advil pm helps. But I can’t take it all the time. I just took a two month break of aromasin, but started back up. Those breaks help me stay on it long-term. I am rejoicing with you and your good scan and pray some good advice comes for your poor hands.
