Seeking Answers & Relief

This month my strength, ROM, tightness and stiffness continued to get worse, I need more and more help all the time and becoming more frustrated.

I did get in to see a dermatologist, Dr. Peter Green and his resident, in Halifax. They were kind and concerned but unable to offer any help or answers to what is happening to me. They said I was the worst case they have seen and want me seen by a rheumatologist asap as what I have happening is presenting as an autoimmune disease, possibly scleroderma or systemic sclerosis, definitely not just a skin issue.

With some research, my oncologist is fairly certain that my condition was triggered by my iv chemo, that I had last year. The timeline fits, when my hands began swelling, the pain, the tightness that has all been gradually getting worse from that time forward.

Thankful that this is beginning to get figured out. Thankful for a prompt rheumatology appointment this coming Wednesday, when their urgent wait list is normally many months. Praying they can stop my continued deterioration and offer a route to healing and relief.

God has been and continues to be in control! Even amidst the extreme pain and frustration, He is answering prayer!

Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Acts 4:30 NIV

I got my latest CT results! They were great! My cancer meds are still working. All bone spots only show scar tissue! All soft tissue spots are extremely small immeasurable pinpoints now! Oncologist said it really couldn’t look better! PTL!

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

Very thankful our children have been able to begin getting out and back to normal activities. Traditional homeschool group at YWC again, swimming, walks with friends, bowling, one last snowfall to play in.

We celebrated my sweet hubby’s birthday!β€πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚

Our pony is doing better. She completed her antibiotics, we’re continuing with her pain meds as our farrier is hopeful she will come out of this flare up and to give her some more time. She has not been happy to be put in our muddy back field but less grass is what her feet need right now.

Also so happy that our new flooring got installed this week! Our old one wore extremely quickly so the company warrantied it and gave us this new one! It’s only been in our basement for two years!🀣😜

To our people…..you know who you are……our boots on the ground support…….know we are forever grateful for you and could not be making life happen without you, we love and appreciate you more than words can say!

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Ecclesiastes 4:10 NIV

Please be praying over my April 13th appointment, for answers and direction toward relief.

Pray for continued soft willing hearts in our children, that help so much each day.

β€œCome to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NIV
