This fall has been beautiful. Not only has the weather been extra warm and lovely. Life itself has been sweet. I wanted to share some of the things I’m most thankful for!
I hesitated to write a post because, really, all is well and stable. For that I am thankful! Not sure why we often feel that only bad news is worthy of sharing.
Psalms 51:10 NLT
[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

My cancer remains stable, next scan will be in January. My weight is stable, not gaining or losing right now. Feeds through the tube have been making me feel extremely nauseous so honestly I’ve been avoiding them. But thankful an xray last week showed my J tube is still in place. Infections have been staying at bay. My IVIG is now being done at home monthly, for which I’m extremely thankful. I’ll take quiet and uneventful in the health department any day!
Psalms 50:23 NLT
[23] But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”

We were blessed with the addition of a gorgeous grandson mid October! He is absolutely perfect! The youngest Pitman boy was 14yrs old! Between 4 daughters and 3 granddaughters, he is a much awaited little boy! We also have another precious grandbaby coming in March! That’s five grandbabies in just over 3.5 years! Bring them Lord! Can’t wait until they all know Gram and Gramp have the best snacks! Lol
Psalms 95:2 NLT
[2] Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him.

School is back in full swing. This is our 25th homeschooling year. We have 6 students this year. Pre-school, grade 2, grade 4, grade 8 and 2 grade 11’s. It’s been a great start. A relaxed, slower pace this year has been key, as I’ve needed some extra sleep in the mornings. Extremely thankful for an amazing helper 2 days a week. This hugely lightens my brain’s workload, allowing us to have great completed weeks.

Coming up in our memories is the pictures of the beginning of our addition. Still so very thankful for this, a neat, cozy, functional bedroom and close bathroom. Also so thankful for our beautiful covered deck that has brought so much joy! I have also absolutely loved the color I chose for our outdoor accessories, Mediterranean blue! It makes my heart happy!
Proverbs 17:22 NLT
[22] A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

We are thankful to add another teenager to the house! 4 teens live here! We celebrated 2 birthday’s since my last post! A 13yr and 19yr old!

So thankful for a fabulous pro-show 4-H weekend and year end award banquet! Lot’s of fun, awards and learning was had by all!

Thankful for a full, fun valley farm day!

Thankful for pumpkins to paint and carve. We do not celebrate Halloween (thankful for that too) but pumpkins are included in fall fun. As always, we will sit together with lots of candy and popcorn and watch a movie together!

Our new pup is growing up to be a wonderful addition to the family. She’s adorable, fun, spunky and oh so smart. She passed her puppy classes with flying colors and will be a 4-H dog next year.

Last but definitely not least on my thankful list is my precious husband. Being sick is hard , not only on me but Jeff and the rest of our family. He bares the burdens he always has but most of the ones I used too also. An absolute example of our vows, in sickness and in health. He continues to walk beside me and care for all of us every day and I will never be able to thank him enough.
Hebrews 12:28 NLT
[28] Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

Colossians 4:2 NLT
[2] Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
