[52] Blessed be the Lord forevermore! Amen and Amen.

April brought on the end of my “break” and a CT and bloodwork to see how I faired the winter. My CT once again showed stability, thankfully, my lungs still show nodules coming and going. Again likely not cancer.
Easter was enjoyed by our family. We added several Yotos and cards along with new lunch bags, containers and water bottles. We of course had a beautiful supper and Easter egg hunt together.
We celebrated our baby’s 6th birthday. It is so hard to believe the youngest in our home is already 6 years old. She had a fabulous party with all her friends and family.

We attended the beautiful wedding of a dear friend on May 1st!

We have celebrated grandbabies birthdays also. So thankful to be here, watching each of them grow! I’ll take it as long as I can. Getting sweet baby snuggles is the best. He’ll be the youngest grandbaby for only 3 more months.

This is our 26th year homeschooling and we had two graduates this year. We had a fun, beautiful celebration for them and three friends, also graduating.

It has been an awesome 4-H year so far! We had one child win at regional speeches and spoke at Provincial Rally, our Lumbersports Senior Team placed 2nd in the province just by a few points, they did amazing! Achievement Day was just as great! Several ribbons and Judging won. A massive lighthouse, mailholder, chicken, dog and 2 cows headed to pro show in October. We couldn’t be more proud of our crew!

We were blessed with an amazing family vacation to White Point Beach Resort. We spent three wonderful nights and loved it so much. So many sweet memories made! We stayed in a vacation home with a lovely fireplace that I got to enjoy each evening, amazing food and extremely lovely staff, sweet bunnies everywhere and always something to do.

We’ve had our first Ellenwood camping trip with our oldest son and family. It was so fun and we had beautiful weather.

Just before this first camping trip I was extremely tired, short of breath and very off balance. Not getting rested even when napping and needing help even walking around the house. So my sweet doctor asked for bloodwork. My hemoglobin and albumin were low. I needed a blood transfusion. So day one of camping meant Jeff and I were at the cancer center while kids had fun at the campground. So thankful they could still enjoy the day and it wasn’t too much for anyone as we don’t have a crew of littles any more.
I began to feel better. Had my first 21 day IVIG infusion which helped even more. But doctor also wanted my summer CT moved up just incase we were missing something bigger. So on July 16th I had my CT, with results that afternoon. Still showing cancer stability, WOOHOO, but my lungs are still changing and looked as though it may be an infection. So 10 days of Doxycycline started. It’s bothered my digestive system a bit but I’ve been handling it okay and will press forward.
Through all this, scleroderma has taken more of my freedom. It’s claimed my left pointer finger. Being left handed, losing use of this finger is huge. It now has a large ulcer, curled and is extremely painful. This has affected my writing ability (tiring and oh so painful) and taken away the freedom to use the bathroom alone at home. So much frustration. CAUTION : YUCKY PIC COMING

Sadly, July 15th our precious 26yr old pony that we’ve had since she was 3yrs (except for a short time with another family) lay down for one last time. It’s so hard saying goodbye but she had a rough winter that she never recovered from. She will definitely be missed.

Even in the hard, God brings HUGE blessings! My trusty scooter, that had been such a blessing the last couple of years, completely died on me on our last family vacation to White Point. But the last year or so, it’s been extremely painful on my hands and body to drive. We decided to try an electric wheelchair. We ordered it with hopes it may arrive by mid/late August. Well it arrived yesterday, July 21st! And it’s perfect! So comfortable and gentle on my hands. Thank you Lord!

Hoping these antibiotics clear my lungs and I can continue to enjoy the sweet warmth of summer with my beautiful family.
Never cease praying for healing and time. Two things I continue to ask for, trusting, always! Faith can move mountains. God has not chosen to move this mountain from me but I trust His plans for me.
